Shipping policy
This Shipping Policy (“Policy”) forms part of the Terms and applies to all transactions conducted through the Services. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the Terms. This Policy describes the respective responsibilities of Sellers and Buyers relating to shipping, delivery, and associated obligations.
1. Seller Responsibilities
Sellers are solely responsible for packaging, labeling, and dispatching items purchased through the Services. Sellers must ensure that shipments are prepared in a manner suitable for safe transport and are dispatched within any stated handling time. Sellers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and carrier requirements.
2. Buyer Responsibilities
Buyers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information. The Shared Environment is not responsible for items shipped to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by Buyers.
3. Shipping Costs
a. Determination. Sellers are responsible for determining and disclosing shipping costs for their listings.
b. Payment. Buyers pay applicable shipping costs at checkout. These amounts are remitted to Sellers as part of the transaction.
c. Transparency. All shipping charges must be clearly presented in accordance with the Terms.
d. Platform Shipping Label Option. Sellers may elect to purchase shipping labels directly through an integrated shipping solution offered through the Services. Where a Seller chooses this option, The Shared Environment will facilitate the purchase and generation of the shipping label on the Seller’s behalf.
e. Deduction of Postage Fees from Seller Payout. If a Seller purchases a shipping label through the Services, the actual cost of postage for the label will be deducted from the Seller’s payout associated with the applicable transaction. Sellers acknowledge that this deduction represents reimbursement for carrier charges incurred through the integrated label service.
f. Sellers Using External Shipping Methods. If a Seller does not elect to purchase shipping labels through the Services, the Seller remains fully responsible for handling shipping costs, purchasing postage independently, and complying with Sections 1, 3, and 4 of this Policy.
4. Shipping Methods and Tracking
a. Shipping Methods. Sellers must use shipping methods that are reasonably capable of delivering items safely and within expected timeframes.
b. Tracking. Sellers must provide valid tracking information for all shipments and must upload tracking details through the Services when the item is dispatched.
c. Delivery Confirmation. Sellers are encouraged to use services that provide delivery confirmation or signature confirmation where appropriate.
d. Where no delivery timeframe is stated, Sellers must deliver within 30 days (or sooner if required by law). Buyers may cancel for a full refund if delivery is materially delayed.
5. Lost or Damaged Shipments
a. Reporting. Buyers must report lost or damaged shipments to Sellers through the Services within 14 days following the expected delivery date or receipt of the item.
b. Seller Resolution. Sellers are responsible for working with Buyers to address lost or damaged shipments, which may include contacting the carrier, initiating claims, or providing refunds or replacements.
c. Platform Role. The Shared Environment may facilitate communication between the parties but is not responsible for resolving shipping disputes and is not liable for lost, delayed, or damaged shipments. Dispute procedures described in the Terms apply.
6. International Shipments
a. Customs and Duties. Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, import fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country.
b. Declarations. Sellers must complete accurate customs declarations and comply with applicable import and export requirements.
c. Import Restrictions. Sellers and Buyers are responsible for understanding and complying with any import restrictions applicable to the destination. The Shared Environment is not responsible for customs delays, refusals, or seizures.
7. Packaging Standards
Sellers must package items in a manner appropriate to their nature, fragility, and value. Packaging must comply with applicable carrier standards and must be sufficient to protect the item during transit.
8. Enforcement
The Shared Environment may take any action permitted under the Terms in response to violations of this Policy, including removal of listings, suspension, or termination of account access.
This Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
