Organic Growth Marketing Specialist

About the companies

The Shared Environment is a curated multi-seller marketplace for Montessori materials and furnishings. Every product is selected by trained Montessori guides, so practitioners, guides, and families can shop confidently while preparing Montessori school environments and Montessori method-aligned homes. The marketplace exists to relieve professional stresses faced by Montessori practitioners, and to improve access to authentic Montessori materials for schools and families. The Shared Environment unifies the Montessori community, bringing Montessori practitioners, families, makers, and retailers together in one thoughtfully designed space.

Prepared Environments is a hybrid retail store, which will have both an online presence and a physical store in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Prepared Environments will also sell products in The Shared Environment. The physical store aims to serve as a community hub, with a maker space and a training space in the building. Prepared Environments will be the first and only Montessori materials store in the United States, offering Minnesota’s Montessori practitioners a kind of service and convenience entirely new to this professional sector. This store will spark a paradigm shift throughout the Montessori community.

About the role

The Organic Growth Marketing Specialist supports both The Shared Environment and Prepared Environments, with time split across both companies based on business needs. The Organic Growth Marketing Specialist’s goal is to help increase qualified traffic, improve conversion rates, strengthen brand awareness, and support consistent marketing execution across both companies.

This is a hands-on marketing role for someone who enjoys a mix of content, SEO, email marketing, campaign execution, website updates, organic social, and performance reporting. Because we’re a small, fast-moving team, the right person will be organized, adaptable, comfortable learning new tools, and able to move work forward across multiple priorities.

You’ll support and execute marketing initiatives that help practitioners, schools, and families discover, understand, and trust The Shared Environment and Prepared Environments. This role will support the day-to-day marketing work that helps both brands grow, including content creation, SEO-informed website updates, newsletters, campaign assets, reporting, and marketing support for events, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities.

You do not need to be a technical SEO expert, but you should understand SEO fundamentals and be comfortable applying them to content, website updates, and campaign work.

This role is ideal for someone with 2+ years of experience who is creative, organized, execution-oriented, and interested in growing as a marketer. Montessori training is not required, but the right person should be willing and eager to learn about the Montessori methodology and the community we serve.

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer of The Shared Environment and to the Co-founder of Prepared Environments.
