PLEASE NOTE: The flat disc we hang our chimes from may vary in size (smaller) from what is pictured in the listing, we will update product images when possible. This design change does not affect the function of the Montessori material.
This Montessori inspired chime mobile makes a lovely wind chime sound as your baby learns to reach out and grasp the hanging ring. This can be introduced as early as about 3 months old. 4 wooden chimes hang from top, and are rattled by a wooden bead in the middle that is connected to the hanging ring. This mobile helps the child learn to grasp and connect their own motion with the sound that results.
All of the wood is sealed in a natural homemade beeswax/olive oil blend. The bells are dyed in colors of pink, green, yellow, and purple. These colors are created through homemade dyes, using all natural ingredients: blueberries, red cabbage, beets, and turmeric, resulting in colors that are more subtle than commercial dyes.
From the wooden top to the bottom of the ring the item is approximatley 21 inches tall, but will be longer when hung by the cord on top. It ships completely assembled. If you need it to fit a certain hanger, I can shorten the overall height by request. If selecting the "ceiling height" option please indicate the height of your ceilings for this custom length.
