This is the hemp version of our grasping material. It is also available unfinished for a completely vegan option.
This Montessori inspired grasping material is to be used starting at around 2.5 - 3 months old to help develop grasp. It is made out of birch hardwoods and secured with hemp for a total of about 7" long. This item is hand-finished in a completely natural homemade beeswax/olive oil blend.
This material is available in a variety of colors including natural, pink, green, orange, yellow, and purple. The colors are created through homemade dyes, using all natural ingredients: blueberries, onions, red cabbage, beets, and turmeric. The colors are more subtle than commercial dyes, so please see the picture with example colors.
